Muzikjakit Productions is operated and owned by bass player veteran Larry Russell, whose career started at the tender age of 14 when he learned to play the drums and subsequently was a founding member of NYC's local stars, The Age Of Reason, who were signed to United Artist Records.
At the age of 21 (and after switching to the bass guitar) Larry helped launch Billy Joel in Billy's first touring band; creating parts for Billy's new songs: Travelin' Prayer, Billy The Kid, Captain Jack and others. Larry is in the midst of writng an accurate, yet friendly account of that tour.
Below is a photo of Billy Joel during his performance at The Mar Y Sol International Pop Festival, when Larry was his bass player.
Over 30,000 attended this festival, almost all who never heard of Billy Joel, and as a second encore, Billy and the band performed "Jumpin Jack Flash", which can be heard on our DOWNLOAD page.
Throughout his career, Larry has worked or performed exclusively with songwriting icons such as Billy Joel, Bryan Adams, John Phillips, Elliott Murphy, Denny Laine and many other iconic artists, so he understands how a song is crafted, envisioned and produced.
Below is a recent photo of Larry Russell playing bass to a set of Wings tunes with Denny Laine, which also included The Moody Blues' hit, "Go Now". Playing drums here was former Wings drummer, Steve Holley (not pictured).
